Pets & Vets: Lost your cat?

What to do if you have lost your cat

Search for your lost cat at night, they are less scared at night and there are fewer cars and people about.  Take some biscuits in a jar to rattle too.

Search with a torch, cats will hide in small dark areas if they are confused and lost or injured. Also check over neighbours walls in case they've gone over and cannot get back

Most cats stay within an area very close to their home and are often confused. Many of these new developments such as Springs and Meadows are all identical and cats can become disorientated by everything looking the same, be persistent a couple of cats have been found up to 6 weeks later in almost the area that they disappeared in.

Also sometimes cats start being fed by 'kind' people in the neighbourhood and forget they have another home.
