Jassas, the (un)-fortunate Husky/Malamute
(excerpt from article in 7days on Monday February 1st)
A campaign has been launched to fund specialist surgery urgently needed by a husky who was left with a shattered pelvis and dumped by his owner.

The one-year-old dog was brought to Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic by his owner a week ago with a series of broken bones and a severe skin infection. The clinic believes that his injuries are so serious they could have only been caused by a car accident at least a month earlier. Since he was left, the clinic has made repeated attempts to contact the dog’s owner but said it has not had any response.Veterinary nurse Carly Jacobs says they had requested to put the dog to sleep but Dubai Municipality refused to give permission for euthanasia as they do not own the dog. The only other option now for the clinic is to raise dhs13,000 for reconstructive surgery in Abu Dhabi
