Jumeirah Mosque Visits
  
This is a rewarding, spiritual and informative experience. Jumeirah Mosque is the only Mosque open to non-Muslims in the U.A.E.  Visits are every Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 10am only.  Entrance to the Mosque is only permitted with a representative from Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding.  Registration Dhs 10 per person.  No bookings necessary, photography welcome and children must be above the age of five years.
 
Cultural Breakfast 
 
Experience a traditional home made U.A.E breakfast in the ambience of the SMCCU centre on Mondays at 10am.   Location: at SMCCU, Bur Dubai, Bastikiya Quarter on Al Seef Road, past the British Embassy, left at the roundabout and first turning on the right (look for the Black Horse statue on the pavement outside the Centre)  Fee Dhs 60  per person. Bookings are essential, call the Centre on 04 353 6666 to reserve a place.


Cultural Lunch
 
Discover the tastes of a traditional home made U.A.E lunch, in the SMCCU centre every Sunday at 1pm.  Location: at SMCCU, Bur Dubai, Bastikiya Quarter on Al Seef Road, past the British Embassy, left at the roundabout and first turning on the right (look for the Black Horse statue on the pavement outside the Centre)  Fee Dhs 70  per person

Bastikiya Walking Tours
 
Step back in time and join us on a traditional tour of the Bastikiya area which is one of the oldest residential areas in Dubai.  Tours are everyday at 10am and include a Question and Answer session with refreshments back at the Centre, upon completion of the walk.  We can accommodate walking tours at other times if convient for you.

Spoken Arabic Courses- Gulf Dialect
 
Learning Arabic can be fun! Enjoy our language classes in the friendly atmosphere of the Centre. We have a 12 week course with classes twice a week and an 18 week course with classes once a week on Saturdays only. Coffee Morning
 
Sit with a U.A.E National lady, a volunteer for the Centre and get answers to your cultural, local etiquette and religious questions in our beautiful courtyard or a traditional majlis, while enjoying tea and Arabic coffee.
