Awesome, it is walking distance from the apartment buildings? Also, is there still alot of construction happening in the area? I'm currently based in Amman, but need to relocate to Dubai and have to start apartment hunting soon.

Quick question, which park is now open in Barsha? We may be relocating back to Dubai over the summer and am considering both JLT and Barsha. I have 9 year old twins so a park nearby would be fantastic for us.

for those of you guys who live in Barsha...I was wondering what the rents are like in the area for a 1 bedroom and a 2 bedroom apt...we went around the place and a lot of that area still looks kinda barren...which means more construction and hence...more noise( theres a building coming up just behind my current apt..and its driving me NUTS!)..which would b the best area to stay at in Barsha...any fav buildings that I shld chk out?

Hi Tiki. We are looking for a flat, not a house-that would be great but... ;-) £££
Hi FFK1978 - uhm, the issue of our little boy. We are thinking of putting him into the room and have a sofa cum bed in the living room for us grown ups.

Thanks for the great comments.

Al Barsha is great. 20mn from almost everywhere in Dubai, and 5 mn from MOE (+10mn in the parking...).
But I'm note sure you will be able to find a house with one bedroom only.
If you find one, check the bus stration. SO convenient to go to the MOE
Plus, with the park open now, great for kids.

Barsha is super. Close to the mall.. traffic flow convenient.. metro right next door (almost)
Though, how will you manage with a 3 year old in one room? That kid is gonna grow.
There is a big park also made nearby
it's just a short drive to oasis center/ace hardware.
overall good location, i feel

Hello. We are currently living in Discovery Gardens but we are considering moving to Al Barsha. We are also downsizing from 2 bdrooms to 1 to maximise our savings! Does anyone here live in Al Barsha (near Mall of the Emirates) and if so, would you recommend it -or not? We are a couple with a 3 year old. We have one car which hubby uses to commute to Abu Dhabi. We are also considering JLT but it does seem a bit devoid of life?

Thanks for the input Big Grin
