Sounds bad BB2 - mine was Khalidiya to Nadja (between 9th & llth) and return - all the idiots who block the intersections only compounded the problem. I feel for all the little kids on buses and cars who had no escape.... something has to be done to fix this problem....

P.S - can't you just ring AXA??

yeh but was paying for a policy so prefer to go in person, obviously if i had had my crystal ball today i wouldnt have gone there..! but today was exceptional, but it only makes matters worse when people have to push in and not abide by the rules of the civilised road, which of course doesnt happen here.

yes i got caught. dropped off at bsak 7.20 headed over to al nayhan, wasnt too bad until i got to 4th and 13th, with new junction had to go up to 8th to do a u turn, on the other side of the road car accident, one bashed car and the other one stuck on the kerbs in the central reservation, 3 police cars attending. do my uturn to go to axa, people in axa are all late, due to accident apparently at ad mall, also somebody else got stuck in traffic jam at maqta bridge, on radio it was saying that accident in rahba which is miles out of town, but closed road for 1 hour. got out of axa eventually then to get stuck on 4th st, the traffic at a stand still, move over 4 lanes to do a left at 4th and 11th traffic is stationary cars sitting over the junction. go up to 2nd and 11th, airport road is stationary, traffic sitting over junction, apparently accident at airport road, do a uturn go into lulu for 45 mins, on coming out of lulus still traffic everywhere, takes me more than 10 mins to drive from the exit on the road from wadha mall to the very first turning which is 1 yes 1 building away, turn up there, to find that traffic standstill, all coming into zayed uni, police car ahead, another accident on the side road, traffic at 13th not moving, come up to junction eventually, police man on junction, although traffic lights are working....... go over airport road and the traffic is a little bit more normal.

kids were being taken home from sch this afternoon, it took them over 1 hour to do a 20 mins journey apparently patrol was lying on his roof in the middle of mussafah road, and maqta bridge had an accident.......

i havent seen it this bad even when the crane stopped play.

So did anyone get stuck in traffic today? I took my 2 hours exactly round-trip to do the school drop off which normally takes 45 max - crazy! Surely a couple of accidents that the paper was talking about couldn't have caused that! Have never seen traffic that bad in AD - except for on National Day of course, and that's a celebration!
