Have used S26 Gold for both mine. seashell I believe Progress Gold is for the older kids (6m+)? However all doctors I have seen have reassured me that I can (and preferably would) keep mine on S26 Gold if it was enough for them. I didn't like the idea of the vanilla flavor as it would make a harder transition to cow's milk unless you want to flavor that too when the child is 1 year old.

I visited 2 different lactation nurses in Australia and a pediatrcian. They didnt know each other and all recommended NAN HA. My DS is mainly breastfed but has formula once or twice a week since he was 6 months, and he loves it.

s26 gold since birth, this is what she was given at the hospital.
First meal, 35 ml and she has been a vacuum cleaner since then.

my daughter is also 4 months and she's been on several different types of formula in the past (bebelac 1, bebelac AC, novalac 1, novalac AR, aptamil AR) and now I'm quite happy she's on Aptamil 1. the problem she had was with the regurgitation and vomiting after feeding (she has mild reflux but she was never treated with medication because she was putting on weight). the novalac AR helped big time but she also constipated big time. i read on this forum before that aptamil was good so i started to try it. i compared the composition between the bebelac and aptamil and they both looked exactly the same (bebelac is cheaper though). however, bebelac didn't produce the same results as the aptamil. with my daughter, she did not have severe constipation with the aptamil AR (maximum is poo on the 2nd day). so these days, i want to slowly switch her back to the stage 1 formula as her reflux has improved tremendously and i give her aptamil 1 during the day (plus one spoon on cereal in the bottle just to thicken it a bit) and aptamil AR at night.

Nil, is there a problem with the formula you have chosen? What are you looking for in a new one? If you think you need to change, it's probably best to talk to a good GP or paed who can match the right one for your baby.
