Well, I am not knocking it. I do have a nice tote which is perfect for travel, or when I need to carry a ton of stuff around. It was advertised as "being perfect for the beach" but that would be a little "too Dubai" for me! I usually throw my towels in a vinyl Carrefour bag--tacky, I know!

omg I thought of you as I schlepped my reusable jack o lantern bag from the local grocer to the gym today!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Small Hillier Hobo: this is my "yummy mummy" purse and my first designer purse after YEARS of resisting. Use it everyday and it's sturdy enough that it's been vomited on by my kids and bit by a friend's dog, yet you couldn't tell. Also has a cross-body strap, v practical. I only wish it had an outside zip pocket.

Best for formal events or meeting up with my wealthier friends is the Prada Saffiano. I love that the color and size I chose are rare in Dubai. DH was happy with the price

I change my every-day purse at least every 3 weeks, but love it when the MJ is back in rotation. Most recent purchase is a Topshop cross-body flap bag, I wanted to know what it's like to use a flap bag on a daily basis, so I'm not stuck to a particular price range

chanel 2.55 classic flap bag
bought it 4years ago after saving for a while to buy it..
It's timeless, goes with everything and it still looks as good as the day i bought it.

I only own a couple of designer bags but i can honestly say they have been worth the investment. No longer do i have cupboards stuffed with every imaginable bag/clutch/purse.. I take my time over my bag purchases and the few i have go with most of my wardrobe.

Mulberry all the way for me the quality is so much better than LV and some other high end priced brands some of those bags look plastic :@

A leather fringe-tasseled-bullet-embellished behemoth by Thomas Wylde. Love it to death because it's so ridiculous, but it's also so big and weighs a metric tonne t'boot making it terribly impractical and I rarely get to use it. It's so heavy it actually hurts my back after an hour or so.

My best/fave practical bag is my Balenciaga.

I love TW have 3 of them :-)
