It seems the UAE is rapidly becoming a go-to destination for anyone who loves the adrenaline rush.

Following the opening of IMG Worlds of Adventure and Dubai Parks & Resorts in our neighbouring Emirate, Abu Dhabi will soon have its own major theme park open to the public.

Inspired by classic Warner Bros characters like Tom and Jerry, Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo, plus superheroes and villains from the DC Universe, the new Warner Bros World theme park will offer 29 new attractions for all to enjoy.

Due to open its doors in 2018, the theme park is on schedule, as the new rides have already been put through safety tests and are now currently being installed in the 1.65 million square feet site on Yas Island.

Offering visitors the chance to step inside the action-packed worlds of DC Comics and Warner Bros, the new park will no doubt be a welcome addition to the already bustling island we love to visit.

Park developer Miral has confirmed that the indoor theme park will boast new rides, shows and interactive attractions for residents and tourists to enjoy. There'll also be retail outlets that will feature a large collection of merchandise inspired by the Warner Bros franchises, as well as a host of dining options.

The new park comes as part of Yas Island's promise to attract 48 million annual visits by 2022.

“We are very excited to be announcing the number of rides, shows and attractions for Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi,” said Mohamed Abdullah Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral. “We’re very delighted to see the park coming together and on track for the 2018 launch.”

“Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi marks an important step in the development of Yas Island as a complete leisure and entertainment destination, and we can’t wait to share it with the world,” he added.
