JS I really believe that God would want you to do what is best for Ginger.
He sound very unhappy with his life despite the fact that he is fed and cared
for.
Moving him to another location would just be transferring the problem. He would
probably be even more agressive without you looking after him.

It is not a "heart" thing only really. I am against putting a healthy animal to sleep not for religion reasons at all, I am just afraid that God will not be happy if I made the decision of putting him to sleep and I will be punished for doing this. I know some might laugh at me and will think that the way I think is hilarious but this is the truth, I feel that God created them and I have no right to end the cat's life, if he gets hit by a car or whatever then this is God's will but me taking a cat to a vet and ask them to put him to sleep, I cannot do it.. I am afraid if I did it, i will blame myself for the rest of my life.. I am not a person who pray, I dont go to church and I am not really religious but I believe that God see what we are doing in our life and it is not a good thing if I kill an animal. Even though I dont want to put him to sleep, he is harming other cats in the area and causing too much disturbance to everyone. I couldnt find for him anywhere to take him as no one wants an aggressive cat of course and he is getting worse and worse everyday

Some suggested to put him in another area, move him faraway but then the opposite side said that he will fight there with other cats and it is not fair for the cats who live in their territory.. many others suggested to put him to sleep and the opposite side will say No, we are against putting him to sleep..

There was a cat fight at 7 then at 9 then again sometime before I sleep. My indoor cats freak out everytime they hear the sound and if you see a short lady running after a ginger cat and yelling Stop it stop it in Springs 2, that would be me!!!

I just wish that one time I go out to see a cat fight that Ginger wouldnt be involved in!! it is really annoying and I feel as if my heart is squeezing everytime I hear it.. but really.. we need peace.. I mean why would babies wake up early morning on a cat fight because of the annoying Ginger... he is neutered, well fed, always full, looks like a pregnant cat!! But why all the cats and residents near my house has to suffer because of him?!! He is a pain!!

I love cats and I was trying to be nice with Ginger as much as possible despite him being very annoying but that's it!!!

Im also in Springs 2 and im sure i have heard cats fighting in the late evneing- 10ish or so. Sounds awful. Its a tough decision alright!

Got a message last night from a lady saying that she saw my cat and asking if I lost him as he was very hungry.. I called her and she told me that she fed him and he left after that.. Of course, the cat she is referring to is PAT.. when i was with her on the phone I heard a cat fighting outside so I went outside to find Pat fighting with my outdoor cat Ginger.. So PAT IS BACK to Springs 2.. I cannot say that I am not happy because I was planning to go and search for him this morning and return him here until I find another house for him with no other pets so they can keep him inside for sometime (even though keeping him inside is impossible!!!)..

Anyway he is back and safe, he is not injured and not limping actually he was running fast like a tiger...

Ahhh I dont know what to do honestly...

EJC, he is here next to me crying his head out since 6am, he calms down a little bit then he cries again.. I am taking him shortly to the vet, we have appointment at 5.30 to microchip him then will take him to his new house.

THE PROBLEM is it is kind of impossible to keep him inside. He didnt eat anything since the morning, he is not used to indoors and he looks terribly worried from the house. The nice lady who offered to take him has 3 dogs so I dont know if it will be possible to keep him inside given that he is meowing a lot, I think the dogs will keep barking and it will be a disaster in the house!!

The lady is in Springs 9 (I think, I must call her on my way), but I am taking the risk of leaving him there in her garage and see if he'll accomodate himself to the new Springs.. All the Springs look similar so I hope he stays there and not try to come back I am microchipping him in case he lost his collar (which has my name and number) so we can track him in case someone finds him.. I have also taken good photos of him which shows his full body and face in case he got lost so I can distribute flyers.. I cannot think of another options really, This morning my outdoor cat Ginger was fighting with him when I rubbed a towel on him and brought him inside. He allows me to hold him and he never tried to bite me.. God knows how much I want this cat to settle down in his new place..

Hi JS just wondering if Pat got to his new home ok?
I live a few houses down from his previous owners & noticed they had moved and left him behind.

I felt very sorry for him & have been leaving some food out at his house every couple of days for the past few weeks.
He doesn't get along with my two cats so was not able to considering taking him myself but am so glad to read he will have someone to look after him now

bubble_trubble, I can't thank you enough for this, my email is joumanas@maktoob.com

He is a smart cat but I hope he will not try to return to Springs 2. I will try to catch him on Thursday night and keep him inside overnight and I will take him to microchip him (in case he doesnt have a microchip) on Friday morning so in case he lost his way and someone found him, he will have a microchip so they can find the owner, I will make the microchip in my name for now and we can change it later if you want to.

Ladies, if any one of you has some tips as how to get him used to his new feeding location/ house, please let me know.

They gave him an anitbiotic shot and I kept him in at mine overnight. Too late next morning he had passed away Devastating for these little guys ((((

Yes, I have few photos taken yesterday, I will upload them and put them here.

I was out in the morning and came at 2pm to find Pat waiting for me so I rushed to inside the house to bring his food, I gave the food and as soon as he started again, my Ginger cat came and chased him so he runaway without eating I feel terribly sorry for him. A house in the springs is the best for him, he will go round all day near the lake and will come to nap in the garden and eat. He loves to be brushed too.

Ok, yesterday something happened and I didnt know should I cry or laugh but it is just unbelievable how some people has NO MANNERS at all

I've been seeing Pat every night sitting under a car opposite my villa and crying, when he tries to come out, the outdoor cat Ginger stands for him so Pat turns back and goes again to hide under the car and cry.. I am having a hard time as I have to convince Ginger with a lot of his favorite food so he doesnt follow me when I cross the road and goes to Pat to put for him food under the car (he won't come out!)

Anyway I am currently fostering a dog and Ginger is not coming toward the villa's garden so while I was with the dog in the garden, Pat came and standed on the wall and he was meowing loudly, poor thing he must be really hungry to stand and meow like this when I have a dog with me. I came out and put his food and since Ginger was not there, he didnt runaway, while he was eating his food, I felt curious to see what's wirtten on his collar specially that it has 2 tags (usually it is one), I checked and to my SURPRISE, the collar that he is wearing has his name, MY NAME, MY MOBILE NUMBER AND MY ADDRESS!!! How can they do this without getting my permission!! They definitely know how much I love cats and that if they left him, I will not let him starve but..... I already told them that I have an outdoor cat who will attack him and that I cannot take care of him

God love you, i would love to take him but one time i brought home an 'outside cat' and my husband nearly divorced me over it, caused massive rows. He is not cat friendly yet i was brought up with both cats and dogs aplenty in my house!

Hoping someone will take him for you!!

Pingu, I appreciate the "Bump", i just checked in here to see if anyone replied to this thread

Pat is breaking my heart. I see him waiting for me everynight on the other side of my house but under a car and crying. He is afraid to cross to my side as Ginger is always waiting for him there . I feel very very sorry for him and I really dont know what I can do to help him..

The outdoor cat Ginger used to eat dry and wet but since 1 month I stopped the wet totally and he is on dry now. But now I am mixing again wet for him as this is the only thing that will stop him from following me to ther other side when I go to put food for Pat (under the car, because he refuses to come out)

How can people do this!! the sound of his crying is very sad, just thinking about him made me tear up.. any suggestions ladies? The poor thing eats the dry food under the car with terrfied eyes, my outdoor cat Ginger freaks him out but looks like he is really desparate for food

Thanks Zannie, yes, he is an outdoor boy so a home with a garden would be perfect.. I thought of trying to find him a home in the same area, Springs/ Meadows as if I moved him to another area (like Arabian ranches), he might try to find his way back to Springs.. He lived for 4 years in Springs 2.

Oh that's so sad. We're in an apartment, which wont be good for Pat as he'll be used to going outside.

A big bump for this puss!

I met the cat called "Pat", the 1st day I moved to Springs in 2010, here is an old thread when I talked about him..

http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=131344

I met Pat's owner when they came back from travel and Pat stopped visiting me when they returned.. I came to know that they were the Previous tenants of my villa and they moved to another villa also in Springs 2 and that's the reason why Pat visited me when I moved in.. he was simply coming to what he thought is His House..

Anyway trying to make this as short as possible.. Pat belonged to a couple, one of them speaks very poor English and very hard to communicate with but I understood from the husband (US national) that they took Pat when he was a kitten, he started coming to their house and they made him their outdoor cat, he had a bed, litterbox in the garden and his food station outside so mainly he was their outdoor cat..

In early December, the lady (who speaks poor english) came to visit and told me that they are planning to relocate and asked me if I can take Pat. I told her that it is not possible at all as I have already an outdoor cat (who is annoying the neighbours) and he will not let Pat in his territory (Pat lives on the other side of the lake).. I told her the best thing is to take Pat with them as he is used to live outside and he is around 4 years old.. and simply it is not right to leave him behind.. anyway she said that she will talk to her husband.. I told her: In any case, please bring a photo of Pat so I can advertise for him and see if anyone would take him..

I haven't heard from them after that until around 20 Dec, the husband called me and told me that they are planning to MAYBE take Pat with them and it depends if they will be moving to an apartment or villa (in the country they are moving to) and asked me if he can take the cat box from me so he can use it to take Pat for his vaccincation and he will return it to me after. The wife came that night and she was very happy, she took the box.. I travelled on 23 December and didnt contact them before leaving.. I returned from my vacation on 6 January to find the cat box outside with 2 new collars and I thought that the collars are a gift for my cats.. few hours later, I heard Pat crying outside

Since that day, Pat comes everyday, when he tries to come to my house, Ginger the cat who is staying outside chases him and he doesnt allow him to come.. he goes and hide under cars and starts crying Today I called the wife's number and the husband's number and one of them is cut, the 2nd is closed.. It looks like they travelled and left him!!

I cannot take him in and Ginger my outdoor cat will not let him in.. If someone in Springs or Meadows is happy to try to keep him indoors just for few days then let him out in the garden, he will know that this is his new house so he will keep coming to you.. the reason he is coming to me is that he knows that I will give him food, he will forget me and my house if another home gives him a garden and food..

Any thoughts ladies? He is like a Tiger with stunning green eyes and he is wearing his collar with his name on it
