How to Pay Traffic Fines in Abu Dhabi

Very often we are unaware that we have indeed traffic fines, the system here is not as in our home country, where we are given a traffic ticket, or a speeding fine on the spot. It is a good idea to go to the government website and check to see if we have anything outstanding. It can come as a shock when we go to renew our vehicle registration to find various charges that we didn’t know we had.

Go to the website www.abudhabi.ae and choose to the Motoring & Travel section (or click here). You can enquire about or/and pay for traffic violations using your traffic ID, car plate number, or licence number. You can then either use the online e-Service of pay the fines in person by following the steps.

• Report to the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department – Violations Section.
• Submit the vehicle ownership form or driving licence or vehicle or licence number.
• Pay the penalty fee. Receive the receipt and release order.

Please note, that in order to use online AD eGovernment Gateaway service, you need to register on the Abu Dhabi Government Gateway website using your Emirates ID Card and Personal Identification Number (PIN). Please click here to register.
