The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation was established by Law No. 20 in July 2007, issued by his Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, may God save and bless him.

The vision of the Foundation is “Pioneering Initiatives for Welfare” and its strategies are focused on health and education on domestic, regional and global scales. The educational strategy of the Foundation includes supporting vocational educational projects in countries of the region, health needs related to malnutrition, child protection and care and the provision of safe water on a global level. The UAE Red Crescent
The UAE Red Crescent Authority has been founded on 31/01/1983 and received international recognition as the member No. 139 in the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as of 08/27/1986.
HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan was appointed the Chairman of the Board of the Red Crescent in 1986 and Chairman of the Authority in 1993, which gave impetus to the humanitarian efforts of the Auhtority.
In 1997, the role of the Authority was further strengthened by acceptance of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak for the position of the Honorary President of the UAE Red Crescent. In 2001, the UAE Red Crescent was chosen the second best humanitarian authority at the level of the continent of Asia. For more information please visit the red crescent website.

The Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahayan Charitable and Humanitarian Organisation
The Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahayan Charitable and Humanitarian was established in 1992 following an Amiri Decree issued by the founder and owner of the benefaction, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahayan –may God rest his soul in peace- with an amount of US$ one million as an endowment fund, whereby all its revenue would be utilized to fund projects as well as charitable and humanitarian activities inside and outside the country. The British Community Assistance Fund (BCAF)
The British Community Assistance Fund (BCAF) is a non profit Organization run by volunteers from the resident British Community, which endeavours to provide help to British subjects who find themselves in distress in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, through no fault of their own. Where possible, help can be provided in the form of legal, financial, medical assistance, repatriation, as well as counseling if required, for those with marital difficulties and for the bereaved. Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) is the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE for women and children victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. It was established in July 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to offer victims immediate protection and support services in accordance with international human rights obligations. The Foundation provides a helpline, emergency shelter, and support services to women and children victims. Snehatazvara or Valley of Love (VOL) operates from a small room in Al Ghusais. Established with the aim of lending a helping hand to those in need irrespective of caste, creed, colour or sex, its members are everywhere and can be reached anytime. C.P. Mathew, a full-time member, gave up his family business to look into the increasing number of cases being brought to their attention. Soon the members started making weekly visits to the hospitalised, providing shelter to destitutes, rescuing women forced into prostitution, visiting prison inmates every week, tracking down family members of unclaimed bodies or raising funds. RDAD's programme utilises the horse to achieve a variety of therapeutic goals, thereby allowing our students, with special needs, to further develop their physical, cognitive and emotional abilities. This means we can encourage our riders to achieve more than they ever thought possible, allowing us to focus on ABILITY and not disability. RDAD is a not for profit organisation and relies totally on assistance from individuals and organisations to keep the programme running. You can support us by promoting awareness of our programme, or just by coming along and volunteering. RDAD volunteers assist during our riding sessions by either leading the horses or side walking to provide help and support to the students.
