The road signs in Baku are internationally recognized and can be seen below.
The main problem with Baku is that many things are not signposted and drivers often do not adhere to the road signs hence drivers have to be aware of other road users. For example it is common that road closures and detours are not signposted in Azerbaijan. Construction is also poorly sign posted. Many drivers will ignore one-way street signs too.
Unless otherwise indicated, speed limits are as follows:
40-60 Km/h in built-up areas
90 Km/h on single carriageways and expressways
110 Km/h on motorways
