Formula 1 Grand Prix

The Bahrain Grand Prix is sponsored by Gulf Air and the first race took place in April 2004. This race was the first of its kind to be held in the Middle East and it earned the award for "Best Organised Grand Prix" by the FIA. The F1 race is run in the same way in all the participating countries, in Bahrain the traditional champagne that is sprayed on the crowd is replaced by a rosewater drink known as Waard.

The Grand Prix Formula One is held annually at the Bahrain International Circuit and the weekend sees thousands of people pass through its doors. Tickets are sold on the circuits website but many hotels also partner up with deals so you can buy tickets, hotels, a pit walk etcetera all in one. Furthermore there are different grades of tickets ranging from Grandstand to VIP. Visit www.bahraingp.com for more information.
