50 dirhamFinancial News: New 50 AED Note Released in 2012
July: The Central Bank has released an amended 50 dirham note. The security thread is a 3-mm wide, color-shifting windowed security thread with demetalized UAE 50, Omron rings added to front and back, and it bears the new coat of arms which was adopted in 2008. The note will be accepted in all shops, ATMS etc and run along side the previous version. There was also a new 500 AED note released last year with more security features.
