Having tried acrylic and gel manicures before I was keen to try out the new Geleration manicure at Reflections Hair and Beauty Centre. Geleration is branded as being “the most sophisticated soak-off manicure and pedicure service available today” and is a new addition to the Jessica family of products.
The difference between Geleration and other manicures is that there is very little preparation done to your nail. Due to there being no damage to your natural nail the transition from Geleration to your natural nail is easy. This is in keeping with Jessica’s philosophy of nail care.
My manicurist Lean started by filing my nails into shape and as some of my nails were shorter than the rest applied a product called Build to lengthen these nails. This is a great product as it is quickly applied and only takes a few minutes to dry before it can be filed into shape.
The gel is then applied like a polish and will last between 3 to 4 weeks without chipping, peeling or fading. I chose a French finish as in the past I have never managed to keep them smudge free beyond the car park! The perfect test to see just how quickly Geleration dries will be opening my car door. I’m really pleased to say that it really does dry fast and I’m impressed with how light they feel even on the nails that needed to be lengthened. They don’t look like gels and look like I have the perfect manicure with no smudges or chipping. What more could a girl ask for!
Geleration is available in 26 colours so there is something for everyone. The removal is simple and only requires the gel nail is soaked off before applying a new manicure.
