This gloomy, wet weather is due to continue into the weekend and early next week as the country experiences rain forecasts, The National have reported.
While usually it's only the Northern Emirates that experience this type of weather - particularly Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah - this time, heavy rain is expected right along the UAE's coastline, from Abu Dhabi all the way towards RAK.
Of course, historically rain in Dubai has caused a bit of mass chaos for commuters, with floods, strong winds and low visibility affecting their journeys. But there's no denying that when the rain arrives and settles across the Emirate, it makes for some stunning snapshots.
