Calling All Dubai Gamers: Games Con Is Happening This November

For all you nerds, gamers and cosplayers living in Dubai... Your favourite team behind the Middle East Film and Comic Con are BACK with an event entirely dedicated to gaming. 

The Middle East Games Convention (MEGC) - or just Games Con - is heading for Abu Dhabi this November from 23rd and 25th. 

It's the perfect event and opportunity for gamers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the UAE and even in the entire Gulf to head to and enjoy live tournaments, workshops and test the latest new tech and games available. 

As the sister event of MEFCC, we've no doubt ticket holders will thoroughly enjoy getting their game-on, as the entire of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre will turn into a gaming paradise. 

What is MEGC? 

Games Con is what it says on the tin - a gaming festival, and the 3-day event features everything from eSports tournaments, gaming consoles, PC, mobile, table top and everything inbetween. 

Watch regional and international pro-gramers battle it out for cash prizes, take part and compete yourself in live tournaments including League of Gaming and meet top of the league pros and YouTube stars!

Plus, learn through curated workshops and dedicated developers sessions AND test drive the latest technologies, gadgets, hardware and of course, the latest games and software to hit the market. 

Who'll be at Games Con 2017?

One of the best parts of MEGC is the opportunity to meet with one of the many talented personalities joining in the fun; for the 2017 edition, ticket holders will have the chance to meet Ali A, a gaming YouTube star that has over 13,600,000 people subscribed to his 2 channels - and in excess of 3.2 billion video views! 

Overwatch fans will no doubt be thrilled to see that Chloe Hollings will be attending this year's Games Con. The French, British and Australian actress, voice-artist, writer and singer is best known for being the voice of the well-known Overwatch character, Widowmaker. Her resume also includes working as an actress in theatre, as well as appearing in the French TV show, Versailles.

Josh Zerker a.k.a. Zerkaa is behind 2 YouTube channels that cover various genres of gaming and Sidemen activities. The YouTube veteran is a former competitive Call of Duty and Fifa player, and is considered a talented gamer amongst his fans - so much so that across his channels he has over 4.4 million subscribers. 

Another YouTuber attending Games Con will be Vik a.k.a. Vikkstar123, who is one of the world's fastest growing YouTube stars. With over 6.6 million subscribers and 1.6 billion views to date, Vik mixes a range of gaming and real life content across his channels. Vik currently lives in in 'The Sidemen House', alongside Simon and Josh. 

Clare Siobhan will be at MEGC, who has recently become a full time YouTuber and burst on to the scene in 2016. Her gaming and real life vlogs (featuring her pets) have accumulated over 751,000 subscribers in next to no time.
