Prepare For Thrills as The Woman In Black Returns to Dubai

Prepare for bumps in the dark, shadows in the night and eerie noises in the distance as Dubai welcomes the return of 'The Woman in Black'. 

The legendary ghost thriller is one of the world's most successful plays, and will return to the Emirate this autumn due to popular demand, and will be presented by the regions award-winning producer Popular Productions. 

Showing at the Madinat Theatre in Souk Madinat Jumeirah, audiences will be able to catch a glimpse of the terrifying woman in black from September 26th to October 2nd. 

What's the story of 'The Woman in Black'?

A lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a ‘Woman in Black’ engages a sceptical young actor to help him tell his terrifying story and exorcise the fear that grips his soul.

It begins innocently enough, but as they reach further into his darkest memories the borders between make believe and reality begin to blur and the flesh creeps as the ‘Woman in Black’ reveals her terrible purpose.

What's the show's history?

Now celebrating a record breaking 27th year in London’s West End ‘The Woman In Black’ is based on Susan Hill's best-selling novel, and is respected internationally as one of the most effective plays ever to be written with over 7 million people having seen the play.

Adapted brilliantly for the stage by Stephen Mallatratt, it has been produced in over 40 countries and has thrilled audiences the world over with its heart-stopping story.

In 2012, came the release of the big screen version starring Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe, which with its spectacular box office became the biggest selling UK horror movie of the last twenty years.

This critically acclaimed production that sold out runs in Dubai in 2009, 2012 and 2015 features a fantastic cast from London’s West End in a richly compelling, dramatic staging of this chilling story.
