Hailed as one of the top, must-do Dubai tourist attractions for residents and visitors in Dubai, The Dubai Fountain is a choreographed fountain system set on the 30-acre man made Burj Khalifa lake in Downtown Dubai.
It was designed by the same company responsible for the Bellagio Hotel Lake Fountains in Las Vegas, and is one of the most popular attractions for residents, nationals and tourists alike here in Dubai.
The Dubai Fountain is 900ft long and can spray 22 000 gallons of water into the air at any moment.
It consists of many high pressure water jets and shooters. Oarsmen or water robots make the water seem to dance while the shooters shoot the water up to 500ft into the air creating a loud boom as they do so. 6,600 lights and 25 colour projectors have been installed in order to make the fountains truly spectacular.
The fountain is animated with performances set to light and music. The water dances in sync with classical, Arabic and popular music. It is visible from every point on the lake promenade and from many neighbouring structures. We suggest watching it from one of the many restaurants that surround it in The Dubai Mall or Souk Al Bahar.

Performances at The Dubai Fountain take place at 1pm and 1.30pm in the afternoon, as well as every 30 minutes from 6pm to 10pm on weekdays, and from 6pm until 11pm on weekends.
