Aldo Zilli Confirms Attendance at Taste Of Dubai 2012

Already a fan of Dubai as it was here that he proposed to his wife, acclaimed award-winning celebrity chef and restaurateur Aldo Zilli has confirmed that he will be at Taste of Dubai 2012, which is scheduled to take place from 15-17 March 2012 at Dubai Media City’s Amphitheatre.

Zilli who specializes in Italian and seafood cuisine will be showcasing his talent and expertise at both the Philips Chefs’ Theatre and the Miele Cookery School. His Italian seafood restaurant, Zilli Fish on Brewer Street in London, is a Soho institution and has been open for over 15 years. Zilli Café, his other venue, serves delicious lunchtime dishes including handmade pastas, antipasti and salads.

An acclaimed author, Aldo has written 10 books including two autobiographies, Being Zilli and My Italian Country Childhood, as well as various cook books, with his signature Italian recipes. His book Fish Cook Book showcases some of the fresh seafood recipes that he is so famous for while Zilli Fish and Zilli Light share his healthy Italian recipes with tips on how to eat well and still eat delicious food. He is launching a new book in January 2012 called Fresh & Green with over 100 new exciting vegetarian recipes.

Celebrity chefs and Taste of Dubai regulars Gary Rhodes, Vineet Bhatia and Richard Sandoval are also back this year. In addition to this, Head Chef Fernando Trocca, who oversees the restaurants and menus of the various Gaucho restaurants, will also be attending the show as Gaucho, which recently opened at DIFC, is one of the elite line-up of 25 restaurants that will serve up their signature dishes at Dubai's premier al fresco festival.

The hugely popular features at Taste of Dubai will be back once again in 2012, including the Philips Chefs’ Theatre. The Miele Cookery School will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy a fun filled masterclass with celebrity chefs in interactive culinary sessions. Chefs will share their skills, and then put participants through their paces to create delicious results.

To ensure that the mega event is attractive to the young ones as well, The Kids Zone, an exclusive play area that also has several entertaining activities, is back too. The Entertainment Stage features MapleJacks, one of the most popular resident bands in the UAE – other music acts will be announced in the run up to the festival.
