New Year New Fun  - Calling all Mini Disco Divas and Budding Super Bike Riders

Fun City, the region’s leading family entertainment centre, is celebrating the New Year and encouraging its little customers to get into the groove by hosting a series of fab and funky discos on Saturday afternoons at the Oasis Centre outlet throughout January and February 2011.


 

The discos are separated into two age groups, three to seven year olds and eight to twelve year olds and are hosted by a live DJ playing the hottest chart hits to include favourites from popular kids shows like High School Musical, Jonas Brothers and Camp Rock.

So whether you pop your own children along to the disco whilst you shop or take a whole bunch of your friends and their brood to enjoy the party fun together, Fun City’s Saturday discos promise to be a firm favourite for the months ahead.

In addition to the disco, there will be unlimited tasty food and cool drinks available for the children to refresh themselves with after their energetic dance floor sessions.  Clowns and Fun City mascots will add to the party atmosphere and great games with prizes and face painting will be available throughout the afternoon for those who want to take a brake from boogying.

The packages are priced at AED60 per child (three to seven year olds) and AED80 per child (eight to twelve year olds).  The price includes the disco from 3-5pm, unlimited food and drinks and participation in prize winning games and activities.

For boys and girls for whom dancing the afternoon away does not excite them, perhaps racing each other down a virtual Dubai track on a selection of ride-on Super Bikes will.   Another exciting addition this season to Fun City Oasis Centres fantastic array of games and activities was the exclusive launch of Super Bikes 2 – Dubai Tracks game introduced in December 2010.

Fun City was the first in the Middle East to have the game in store on which children can ride down Sheikh Zayed Road, cruise past the Burj Al Arab and take in the sights of the city.  The game also features the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa and the Palm Jumeriah Island.

To make the game as personalised as possible there is a choice of nine riders and 12 super bikes, as well as a variety of exciting upgrades, accessories, player profiles and score entry.  The featured bikes are from the best of the best; YAMAHA, Ducati, Star Motorcycles and Kawasaki.  Fun City has a total of 12 bikes in the following six stores across the UAE.

• Arabian Centre (Dubai), Oasis Centre (Dubai) 
• Dalma Mall (Abu Dhabi), Marina Mall (Abu Dhabi)       
• Manar Mall (RAK)             
• Bawadi Mall (Al Ain)                

The Fun City Oasis Centre outlet was reopened in August 2010 after undergoing full refurbishment with new activities, a new look and feel and brand new fun.  The core values and activities were not changed but rather improved, with imaginative play, social interaction, dress up and role-play, ball pits, slides and fun n’ learn activities all still featuring strongly at the outlet.

One of the most exciting changes that came with the refurbishment was the expansion of the party rooms, which were increased to ensure the hosting of even more birthday party fun and games.  The dedicated party rooms are now able to cater for groups of up to 70 children.  Special birthday and school trip packages means that adults can sit back and have just as much fun as the children and let Fun City do all the work.
