Who we are and what we do
Based on the Early Years & Foundation Stage Curriculum and providing an integrated early years programme. Willow nursery is committed to providing parents with the very best start for their children. Constantly striving to develop new and innovative ideas,we work closely with a variety of UK based early years Establishments to ensure that we are constantly aware of current requirements and policies.
Located in a large building that has been specifically modified to offer children the benefit of natural light and space as well as large outdoor play-scapes that include sand areas, a swimming pool, large shaded lawns, climbing equipment and Gardensthat encompass a variety of natural textures as well as specifically designed areas that stimulate a child’s natural curiosity about the world around them.
Willow nursery has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Parents are their children’s first teachers and as such play the most important role in their early development. We respect and welcome all parents and empower them to work alongside us to monitor and be part of their child’s first important stages of Early Education.
All our very young children engage in “Heuristic” Play, they enjoy finding out about objects and discovering what can be done with them. The approach uses natural and household objects presented to babies and children so they can experiment and discover independently.
Heuristic Play is a way of offering children a range of objects to explore freely, with little adult intervention. This type of activity encourages children to participate in activities for longer than a few minutes! Treasure baskets are a great resource and can contain spoons, boxes, and wooden and natural objects to explore.
We believe each and every child is special and our practitioners ensure that every child’s needs are being met through high quality play that is tailored to them, so that they develop at their own pace, having fun and learning as they play.
Little Willows is our dedicated baby area located at the far side of the Nursery building.
This area will cater for babies from 3 months to approximately 14 months, or once they begin walking. Your baby can safely play, eat and sleep in a secure yet stimulating environment and you can go about your daily routine knowing that your precious bundle is being cared for just the way you would care for him.
The Little Willows staff understand babies needs and will work closely with you to ensure they are providing everything your child requires throughout their day at the nursery. A qualified UK nurse will be on hand every day to ensure health and safety standards are being met.
