About The Arabic Language Centre
Established in 1980, The Arabic Language Centre (ALC) teaches Arabic as a foreign language. Founder Maliha Wehbe, developed a unique course making it easy and fun for students to learn. Based at Trade Centre Tower, Level 4, ALC is the only language school in Dubai to teach Arabic from Beginners through to A-Level. Public courses run six times a year and are offered during the daytime and evening. ALC also provides corporate courses to some of Dubai’s most prestigious businesses.
The Maliha Wehbe method of teaching Arabic focuses on oral communications skills – a mix of communicative Arabic and a simplified form of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA). It allows students to be understood in different parts of the Arab World, whilst helping them to understand and be aware of other regional accents and expressions. The structured classes are comprehensive and designed to teach vocabulary and topics relevant to everyday life. This simplified approach helps students to learn and speak the language the natural way.
ALC’s teachers are all native Arabic speakers. They are enthusiastic, friendly, professional and most importantly, passionate about the Arabic language. They are fully trained in the Maliha Wehbe method of teaching to maintain the structured classes.
