I need to buy a financial calculator for my uni course. Anyone know where to get these sorts of things - i haven't bought a calculator anywhere for 20 years!

If you have an ipad or android phone you can download one. Some of them are free others are a dollar or so. I've only seen scientific calculators in the shops. Also a lot of the formulae you need will be available in Excel

I've seen them in Office Depot in Mirdiff City Centre so maybe give them a call and see if they still stock them.

I would usually just my computer or iphone but you can't take these into the exam...I also prefer to just download the textbook on my kindle/ipad but you can't take these in either so I have to have the specific textbook shipped for 260 dirhams from australia!
such a pain.
I haven't actually used a calculator since high school (a long time ago).

Magrudy's or Kinokuniya.
Althought they will probably be way overpriced so better to order online.

Have phoned as many places as I can think - Magrudy's etc....but everywhere has scientific calculators rather than financial ones.
Does anyone have secondary school students studying finance/accounting or uni students? where do they get their calculators from?

Try park and shop in Safa, they had loads of ALL types when i was looking last year. However they were in a glass case and I missed them the first time I was looking.

I didn't even think of Park and Shop - and I visit there regularly. Will try tomorrow!

According to someone who sold their financial calculator on souq.com, it was purchased at Sheeba stores in Bur Dubai.
