Hi ladies, just passing by to give my experience. I went to a clinic opposite burj al arab and wild wadi called oris center and met with Dr Munther Alherani ! he is very nice and super professional the reason why I am sharing this comment is because he gave me a very interesting deal while other dentists I had seen before where very high for the same services... I just finished my veneers and I was so worried it would not look naturally especially at the price I got them but thank God everyone falls in love with my smile and I feel so confident know and I really owe it this doctor. If you need a dentist don't hesitate to pay him a visit, so far he is to me the best ... check out his insta @drmuntheralherani good luck to all of you :) xx :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: Oh dear Hmmm.....yes, oh dear indeed

Sky Clinic, having branches in Bur Juman Office Tower + JLT Y cluster (swiss tower) I had with them root canal *4 last week ... surprisingly no pain after (I was waiting for the pain, panadol handy ... but no pain came ;)) ... also all smaller fixings were good. Fancy clinics, excellent staff ... accordingly not cheap, but, in my opinion, worth the money

Anyone know how much a dental implant is at Dr Madhus? Has anyone had this procedure done at all? My hubby got started with his implant this week with doctor Madhu. One sitting done already for cleaning extraction and bone grafting (needed in his case but not compulsory for all implants). He paid around 1500 for first sitting. Everything would be complete in 8k to 9k max. I think it would be 9000 in our case due to bone grafting. We also had to get a panaramic dental X-ray from outside (not available at his clinic) ..which was 150 extra. But it sure is a long procedure .due to how the extraction went we would need to wait 4 months to get the implant and then some more to get the final crown fitted. Hope that helps.

After reading all your posts here I finally went to Dr Mathew and have found him to be very good and reasonable on the rates. And I have found his clinic very clean and hygienic. Would recommend him to all. Appointments are not very easy to get but they do accommodate you against cancelled appointments as and when it happens.

I don't think you can say that Dr Madhu's dental surgery is dirty...maybe not as high tech as other surgeries I've been to with their great views over the city, Ipods playing music, everything done out in white....but you are paying for the high rents, location and decor of these surgeries in your dental bill....As for suggesting work that you didn't need - I can only say that he has never done that to me and a AED5000 root canal that another dentist said I should have was said to be not needed at this time by Dr M. We are all entitled to our opinion, of course, but saying the surgery is dirty is simply not true...I'm a real neat freak and would not go anywhere that was dirty, I can assure you...

Have to agree that any Dr at Nicholas and Asp is good. Went to Dr Madhu, thought his clinic was dirty then he told me I needed 4 fillings, went to Nicholas and Asp for a second opinion they repaired one filling and gave me a clean five years later 6 month check ups and no fillings.

Dr Nicolas & Asp have always done a great job on my very bad teeth. I used to see Dr Ruby (US trained and excellent) there but she unfortunately left. Anyone could pls recommend a good [u'>US trained[/u'> dentist @ Dr Nicolas & Asp or any other clinic? TIA <em>edited by Annick on 25/09/2011</em>

Dr Catarina Faerbom at Nicholas & Asp in the Marina, is super gentle, she was recommended to me and I can recommend her. I didn't even feel the numbing injection going in. She explains everything and her treatment is second to none. Their hygienist Megan also did a wonderful cleaning and descaling job.

Hi girls/guys, many of you recommend Dr Madhu, is he really gentle? I've just lost 2 old fillings so no idea what will be the future of these teeth but they don't look like easy job, also need to change my old fillings to ceramic and some cleaning etc... I'm very very much freaking out from dentists, panic attack in the chair and you name it... so I really need someone who does everything to avoid causing pain. My colleagues vote for the Sky Clinic in Burjuman, and some others are recommending Drs Nicolas and Asp.. I want to find a good doctor, no matter how costly it will be, otherwise I will never get this done. Thank you for all your advise.

If he messed it up in the first place I wouldn't go back, go to dr madhu and get his opinion wether it's dodgy work or a common problem .

Anyone had any dealings with Dr Magdi at the Manchester Clinic? I had some work done with him and the crown he did after the root cananl isn't fitted properly, not sure if I should go back to him to fix it or try Dr Madhu instead...

Would you recommend Dr Madhu for root canals ? He is actually a specialist edodontist so root canal is his speciality. I love him as I went after a dental phobia of 20 years avoiding the dentist and he was so gentle I nearly fell asleep having 6 fillings. I've also had 3 root canals with him, very gentle and no problem ever since....

Yes - good to know. I think Dr M charges fair prices. Another thing I like is you never feel rushed there and Dr M takes his time instead of maybe cutting corners as the next patient is waiting. I've been to other dentists where I feel they haven't cleaned my teeth the best they could as they have a waiting room full of people...and these guys are charging AED 350- AED 500 or more...one person quoted me AED 700! <em>edited by chizz on 28/07/2011</em>

LuLee - yes that's what I paid the other day, but I didn't have much build up - maybe it would be more if your teeth need more cleaning - DH paid AED 500 for a clean and a filling a few weeks ago... Ok that's good to know he hasn't raised his prices. I believe I went 2+ years ago and remember paying 250.

Arch - if you look at past threads, I remember a few people have had root canals with Dr M and have been pleased with the results and a LOT cheaper than going to some other places...someone in Healthcare City quoted me AED 5,000 - Dr M was around AED 900 as I remember - may be a bit more now, as that was some time ago - I don't know if they price it according to how many canals they have to clean and fill (or they do all the canals as routine - not sure)... <em>edited by chizz on 28/07/2011</em>
