Help with wedding gift for Bahraini and dress code
Ladies - I have the pleasure of attending a Bahraini wedding and am looking for some advice on 'wedding gift etiquette'. I will be attending the evening ladies function. I am not sure if I should take the gift with me to the function (it is in a hotel) or if it is given before / after the wedding. If I take it to the function will there be somewhere to leave it - like a table for gifts? Also what type of gift would be appropriate – household / gift vouchers / crystal etc? Is there a limit on what the gift should cost? Is there something I should not give as it will cause offense or is considered unlucky?
Secondly, can you advise on what can be worn? We have been told that western clothing is ok but should we ensure our shoulders / arms / knees are covered?
