I fancy going away for a few days over Eid but it can't be the whole hols as I need to be here for the 10th November so was thinking of a short break for 4 or 5 nights from the weekend. Any suggestions of where good to go that is not too far - have been to Jordan and Beirut - any other suggestions? Just the two of us - no kids. Is there anywhere to look for Eid offers on travel?

A few of my friends are going to Sri Lanka, which looks lovely. Or maybe somewhere like Goa or Istanbul?

you could try YalaGo - new site that is supposed to help you access deals elsewhere on the web (but haven't tried it yet) - http://www.yalago.com/en
