So far Ive been unable to find a decent gyn/ob here. Is there hope? Have other has similar experiences? I have been having considerable abdominal pain and just looking for either some relief, alternative, etc. The gyno I went to here explained that I was eating too many tomatoes... I dont even like tomatoes! The next one told me it was ovulation pain and to ignore it- I have been tracking my cycles and it does not occur at that time. The last one and this is the one that really annoys the living daylights out of me- first of all because it cost me 1300 dhs for the consult, scan, culture etc, secondly because she then diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries????? I looked this up and I do not suffer from not one of the symptoms! No irregular or missed periods (regular 28-29 days every month), no excessive hair growth, no acne, not over weight... argh! She told me not to eat carbs, recommended some balloon thing to open my ovaries (2500 dhs)... she told me the price, didnt look into it so not sure and put me on clomid. Because she said my body doesnt make eggs. My dh phoned her and asked her a few questions like how can you tell, shouldn't there be hormone levels tests, etc, and then she just took everything back and said actually probably she is ovulating/ producing eggs. Dont take the clomid. I mean how do you say something like that? What sort of accredition do these people need to practise here? Is there a government dept where you can complain about these quacks?

sadly, i would have to agree - i was going to dr.anna for some time now for bio identical and she never did an internal - and prescribed dhea that has compounded thyroid medication when i don't have a thyroid issue. I only realised this when i decided to stop as i was having side effects - where i shouldn't be - Be wary ! when i asked what was going into the pills she couldn't answer and asked me to check with the pharmacy ... now my hormones are a mess and i have to find another doctor to detox me off these ..

I had an full Hysterectomy last year, the first hospital (not mentioning the name SGH) i went in serious pain suggested i swim and drink cardamom tea! My cyst Tumor was the size of a 20 week baby. Dr Maria @ mediclinic meadows is fantastic. Although she could not perform the operation she recommended me to Dr Ibrahim at city hospital where i had the operation, i was back at work 3 weeks after. Highly recommend both dr's , hope you feel better soon.

Dr Leila Soudah, on Beach Rd. She is great, finally I have found gyno who listenes. I have been here 6yrs. Thanks, I appreciate the recommendation Whatever you do, do [b'>NOT[/b'> got to Dr Leila Soudah. She is [i'>aggressive[/i'> and persistent and will immediately prescribe medication without doing a second test. I went to check if I had hormone issues, because I wanted to find an endocrine specialist and the blood tests alone cost [u'>9000 AED[/u'>, and she doesnt take most insurances. She requests that you only use her lab for simple tests like blood glucose, which can be done for almost no cost anywhere else. I was in shock at how aggressive they were with prescribing medication for thyroid. They didnt even do a second TSH test to check for thyroid, and told me I am negative for PCOS. I went to 2 other doctors and they gave me the exact opposite diagnosis! An ultrasound found I had Polycystic Ovaries but Regular TSH levels. Thank god I did a second check and refused to pick up her thyroid prescription. I have been warning everyone. Why are you forced to take simple blood tests at her lab? for 9000 dhs for simple test and 1500 for blood glucose, then they wanted more for gut bacteria tests? It's basically paying their rent on beach road.

My friends recommended me several gynecologists in Dubai but I did my research on google and found Dr Mira ,French Ob-Gyn, IVF in Euromed and was very happy with her. She invited me for Coffee Morning in Euromed Clinic where she presented Anti-Aging Medicine, Vitamin D and Health problems, Anions and Health Benefits etc with Skin Care Specialist Rebecca, another highly professional doctor in Euromed Dr Mira has a global approach to your health concern, has amaising background, 12 Universitary Diplomas and additionally you will be impressed by her Art skills, her Art exhibition in Euromed She changed my lifestyle, my habits, my diet. I recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Iliana - Belhol hospital. She is very attentive and has genuine care and concern for all of her patients. Definitely the best gynecologist I've ever been too. She has everything you could want in a doctor.

Seriously, Dr. Anna of Dubai London Clinic. is the worst dr ever. My abdominal pain is because I am pregnant! She did an ultrasound on me and told me I didnt even have eggs and I was actually pregnant. I should say am pregnant. Happy for the news, unhappy with the fact that she prescribed medicine for me that may have adverse effect on the pregnancy and I would have sent me for some balloon procedure to open up my tubes that were obviously fine. How many weeks are you now? It is possible not to see the foetus through ultrasound in the early stages of pregnancy. Did Dr Ana herself do the ultrasound or were you sent to a technician? I also find it strange that it wasn't only Dr Ana that didn't pick up on you being pregnant but two other Drs aswell, are you sure you didn't get pregnant after seeing these three Drs? Anyway good luck on your pregnancy and hope you are happy with the Dr you have now.

What about the other two doctors? you say she was the third doctor you went to no? Anyway that is quite an oversight, hope your pregnancy goes well, that is definitely good news :)

Don't assume that abdominal pain is GYN, perhaps you should consult with an internal medicine specialist? Many things cause abdominal pain, you are right to be persistent at finding the cause. An excellent point, I didnt even consider that in the beginning. Can you believe the abdominal pain is because I am pregnant. She gave me an ultrasound... didnt realize I was pregnant and then told me I had no eggs. Ouch.

I also struggled to find a good dr and eventually went to Dr Rosalie Sant at Primavera. She is honest and I would highly recommend her. Waiting list is also not too long. Good luck :-) Thanks, one other person has mentioned her... definately worth a shot.

I also go to Dr Anna and she has been great for me, I found her really thorough and would definitely recommend her. Thanks, appreciate it. She was the third dr I went to and I did think she was friendly and nice but she wasn't very helpful.
