Gyno's in Dubai?
So far Ive been unable to find a decent gyn/ob here. Is there hope? Have other has similar experiences? I have been having considerable abdominal pain and just looking for either some relief, alternative, etc. The gyno I went to here explained that I was eating too many tomatoes... I dont even like tomatoes! The next one told me it was ovulation pain and to ignore it- I have been tracking my cycles and it does not occur at that time. The last one and this is the one that really annoys the living daylights out of me- first of all because it cost me 1300 dhs for the consult, scan, culture etc, secondly because she then diagnosed with Polycystic Ovaries????? I looked this up and I do not suffer from not one of the symptoms! No irregular or missed periods (regular 28-29 days every month), no excessive hair growth, no acne, not over weight... argh! She told me not to eat carbs, recommended some balloon thing to open my ovaries (2500 dhs)... she told me the price, didnt look into it so not sure and put me on clomid. Because she said my body doesnt make eggs. My dh phoned her and asked her a few questions like how can you tell, shouldn't there be hormone levels tests, etc, and then she just took everything back and said actually probably she is ovulating/ producing eggs. Dont take the clomid. I mean how do you say something like that? What sort of accredition do these people need to practise here? Is there a government dept where you can complain about these quacks?
