Personally I would go down the E44, around the Big Red area, or further. Nice, orange dunes close to the road.

If they are planning on pulling off the side of the road then maybe drive down the E44 or the E66. If they want to go [b'>into[/b'> the desert then I would advise they book with a tour company.
