There's a good centre in Oud Metha called Impact training centre (04-2888326). They have lot of activities like dance (Bollywood, hip hop, salsa, kathak), Instruments (keyboard, guitar, tabla), art & craft, personality development and abacus (branch of UCMAS-karama). All these activities are available for adults too.
Apart from these activities, they also have yoga (weight loss, Hot yoga, prenatal-postnatal yoga, kids yoga). One of my friend goes there for yoga and she says the instructor is really good. It's a branch of Mantra Yoga (International City).
You can try this place if you are interested. Hope my information has been useful for u.

Thank you very much for the info krystu112. I'll check out Impact training centre too. They seem to have numerous activities and it's great that it's all available for adults too. I'm personally interested in Yoga , so i'll check this out soon.
Morning.
VIP Club in Oud Metha has had a refurb and now have swimming lessons (050 556 0890) and Tennis Lessons (050 685 8304) by outside providers. My kids are having tennis there and loving it. Give them a ring
Thanx a lot for ur information. VIP club sounds interesting. Tennis lessons are exactly what I'm looking for my son. I need to check out the place asap.
Hi I haven't been there for a while, but at one point Turning Pointe were running classes at Loulou AL Dugong's (now Fun City I think) in Lamcy Plaza. But they have refurbished the place so not sure whether they still have an activity room for classes...
Active Sports also run activities out of DESS which are open to children from other schools.
If you speak French, there are arts & crafts classes run at the Alliance Francaise on Canadian Specialist hospital roundabout.
Al Nasr sports club have swimming lessons in their olympic pool. They also run summer camps.
I think their is a music school on the top floor in Wafi City.

Thank you very much for this info. Lamcy plaza has closed the section that you have mentioned.
I will check out Active Sports academy. Do you know how good are their instructors?
Hi Whiteorchid
VIP Club is behind St Mary's church. If you are heading down the main road by the metro line, it is the turn off after Desc (/Dess?) and the one before the main entrance to Rashid Hospital. The numbers below should be able to direct you further if the above doesn't make sense

Hi ladies
I'm new in this forum. I have been checking out some of the discussions here and i find them really useful and informative. My question is does anybody know a good centre in Oud Metha area for kids activities like dancing, instruments, art & craft, carnatic music etc?
