I made these when I got home from work. I didn't have raspberries but used frozen blueberries instead. They smelled heavenly whilst in the oven and taste delicious. Going to ration myself but the temptation is huge. Thanks for the recipe but this is going to damage my waistline! edited by weebles on 24/04/2014

Hi SalsB, thanks so much for recipe! I use frozen berries. Carrefour have 500g punnets of frozen raspberries and "forest fruits", and 300g bags of their own brand frozen blueberries that are very good value and great quality. Frozen strawberries from Egypt are comparable to frozen strawberries my family buys in Texas.

I used strawberries last time as Raspberries are so expensive, results just a nice. I am sure they will taste just a good without the fruit. Frozen fruits are alot chepaer. edited by salsB on 24/04/2014

These blondies sound heavenly! Would love to try but raspberries are so expensive here at 22-26 dhs for a tiny pack. Any idea if they can be bought at a cheaper price ? A family member is allergic to strawberries so that won't work. head straight to the main fruit & veggie market (Ras Al Khor or Deira) whichever is closer to you... and buy from... cheaper and fresher!!

125gm unsalted Lurpak 200gm white chocolate chopped. 110gms caster sugar 2 eggs 130gms plain flour. 120gms fresh raspberries ( strawberries are good too ) 100gms almonds Heat oven to 190c/170c if fan assisted. or gas mark 5. line the dish with greasporoof heat the lurpak until melted and starts to go brown, pour into a cold bowl, add half the chocolate and stir till melted. whilsts eggs and sugar in a separate bowl until thick and golden, sieve flour in, add the chocolatey butter and fold until smooth. add raspberries, nuts and remaining chocloate, bake for 30 -35 mins. If you look in the freezer section for the special pack of 2 lurpak and get a free blondie baking tray. Let me know how you get on. edited by salsB on 24/04/2014
