Hi Girls,

I've just found out that i am 4 weeks pregnant and now i am looking for a good obstetrician to follow up the evolution of my pregnancy and delivery. I've got an uterine septum and I know I've got a high risk of miscarriage on the 2nd trimester. That's why I am very scared and I need an extremely good doctor, specialized in high risk pregnancies.

Looking forward to receiving your recommendations.

Cheers,
N

Sorry didn't read the start of the post, Dr. Ulrich Honemeyer at Welcare in Garhoud specialises in high risk pregnancies, he saw me through mine. Very little in the way of interpersonal skills (or didn't 5 years ago) but he knows his stuff and when you are in his office you and the baby are his only concerns. I had a scare at 20 weeks and he saw me, calmed me down and I had an amnio. It didn't matter about the patients outside, me and DD were his priority. I believe he is now at the Fetal Medicine Center, in Healthcare City.

I am currently with Dr Jennifer at Wellcare and I really like her - my pregnancy has thankfully been complication-free however, so not able to advise on how she is as a high risk doctor.

I don;t know Dr. Jennifer but when i asked the doctor I trust implicitly (Dr. Ngo, same clinic) who she would recommend and she said Dr. Jennifer. I still have to pluck up the courage to go (menopausal and in denial).

Thank you girls. I saw 3 doctors so far: Dr. Iliana Dimitrieva in Belhoul Speciality, Dr. Jennifer in Mediclinc and Dr. Luthra in Medcare. Well, i am more confused than ever. Three doctors, three different opinions. None of them saw the same uterus, as everybody's got a different interpretation of the ultrasound. What do you think about dr. Jennifer from Mediclinic (Wellcare) and Dr. Luthra from Medcare? Have you ever had any experience with any of them? I read lots of pros and cons about Dr. Luthra, but couldn't find too many things about Dr. Jennifer.

I second Dr Rosalie Sant - she was amazing with both my pregnancies. I was also able to do normal birth the second time around after the first one was a c section, which is rarely seem in Dubai

I second the suggestion for Dr Christian Jozsa without hesitation. He works out of Healthbay Polyclinic as another poster suggested. I know three women who've delivered with him, two with complications. I am about to do so later this month and have seen him all the way through my pregnancy. He is cool, calm and collected - and very personable. He presents information and options to you and allows you to make your own decisions. He is pro-natural and is very respectful of a mother's choices at every step, but, as my friends have said, he is in a class of his own when performing emergency c-sections should circumstances not go to plan. ETA: if you cross to the Pregnancy board, or search his name here, there are plenty of good recommendations for him there too. edited by explo on 14/07/2014
