Dubizzle and Expat woman classifieds are quick....we sold ours in 2 days...just be flexible on price and avoid dealers... The buy any car sites quote one price online and then offer nothing near to it.
There are always buyers for old 4x4s. But make sure you have a realistic price in mind, otherwise you won't be at all happy with the offers you'll get. The value your insurance company has given it (usually printed on the renewal notice) is a good starting point, but if you want to sell it quickly, you have to accept that you're going to be lowballed on the price.
Those "we buy any car" operations work by paying the bottom end of what the car is worth, but they do get it off your hands quickly.
