Oh my god! This is my worst nightmare! I would be standing there crying, shouting, jumping...really just the idea of what you describe makes me panic! Want to run, move house, change country, change planet!!!! Yes I know I probably overreact but it is a real phobia for me.
In my compound our neighbours' kids found a snake, their called the security who dealt with it and call the appropriate persons. Usually they investigate if more are to be found.
