Have you seen any around (ie lantern, mosque, moon, sheep etc). I only have a star cutter. I know I can get them online but I prefer to purchase in store.

Or maybe stencils if those are easy to find.

TBH, I would order online. Baking sugar cookies then cutting them out with shapes is more of an American/ Western cultural activity than Arab or Khaleeji tradition... Syrian/ Jordanian/ Lebanese Muslims tend to make ma'amoul cookies for Eid, which are shaped using wooden molds or using special brass pinchers. Contact me if you need brass pinchers, a Jordanian friend gave me a lifetime supply LOL! Solo, I wish they still sold camel/ coffee pot/ khanjar cookie cutters here :) Choithrams opp Safa Park sells cookie cutters in basic shapes. Hi Apricot, i know this is an old post but i am looking for ramadan/ eid cutters and have also been looking for the brass pinchers for maamoul.. any idea where to find them? many thanks,

Hi Lulee, this online shop is based in Dubai so delivery may be quick, and they have a set of Eid cookie cutters: http://cakebox.me/seasonal/ramadaan-eid-cookie-cutter-stencil You're a star. I ordered the stencils and will receive them on Sunday. That'll give me some time to test them. I think I'm going to do them myself and package them nicely in clear bags for each student.

Would you be able to make your own cookie cutters? Check online or youtube there may be some ideas . With Aluminum pans. The ones you use for takeaway. Good luck edited by jackson5 on 22/09/2014

Thanks Ladybird will have a look. Hi Apricot. I was going to bring these cookies to class for the kids to decorate. I don't think I'll get it in time if I order online. Hmm now thinking of where I put my maamoul mold. I might need to make those instead.

Tchibo/Brands for less had crescent shape silicone cookie baking tray. If you are looking for stencils, Dubai Library Distributors had some in the shape of a camel. edited by Ladybirdsarethebest on 21/09/2014

Thank you. I've tried Daiso in Oasis. They didn't have much. Also looked in Tavola in Jumeirah, not much there. Will look around at the others this week. I hope I find something before Eid.

Sorry, no answer to your query but such a shame as had a mass clear out just last weekend and threw out a camel, coffee pot and a khanjar sword/knife cutters. But on the plus side they were bought here many years ago so must be about to purchase somewhere if others can help. I honestly believe I only bought them in somewhere like Choithrams at the time too. edited by Solo on 19/09/2014
