You could also get together with a friend, have dinner parties together and learn at the same time.

agree with Tattie bogle... youtube has some great tutorials... the trick is to figure out which cook is the best... mostly one can judge that by the 'views' n 'likes' as well as comments on the videos... good luck with ur cooking... :)

To add to the youtube suggestion upthread, look up Manjula's kitchen, she has simple recipes.

Have you tried just looking on YouTube? There are sooo many chefs who give excellent tutorials online, and then you can choose which type of cuisine eg North indian, South Indian etc. It also means you can press pause when you haven't chopped up yet what they are putting in the pan. ;) I have tried a few Indian recipes with this guy and they have turned out quite well! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLUh3FXf1eo&list=PLDBC28CE95E21BBB1 ETA just watched this and how much chili powder did he put in and how much salt in the water???!!! :\: edited by Tattie Bogle on 18/11/2014
