Actually there are lots of cheap "persian" rugs in Dragon Market. I think they are made of synthetic fibres - some seem quite nice though.

There was a thread on just this subject a while ago - have you looked in "search"? I think people said the Blue Souk in Sharjah was worth the trip but don't know the details. Expect someone else does.

You probably wouldn't want to travel so far, but when we used to do visa runs to Hatta, there were carpet sellers on the side of the roads. We bought a huge imitation persian carpet for couple hundred after haggling. Here's the place and I bought the red one ;) It's along the E44 road [url=http://cdn3.vtourist.com/1/2572055-Hire_a_car_and_drive_around-United_Arab_Emirates.jpg'>Mezereh roadside market[/url'> edited by Alismum on 27/11/2014

Hi everyone, does anyone have suggestions on where to buy large machine made Persian style carpets that are not expensive (I'm hoping for some Satwa and Karama suggestions!)
