Hi Ladies,

I need a baby monitor in our 2brm apartment. We bought a video monitor but due to the number of walls between bedrooms and living/kitchen, it has broken reception despite being only 15m or so away.

given the size of villas here there must be a solution.

Thanks!!

I have the same problems as you OP and have the oricom. Don't waste your time with one of those! Bought it in a pack with the heart monitor and the model we bought cost a bomb!! Absolutely no use in our apartment here.

I have the dlink wifi baby cam, I'm happy with the popup notifications (temp, sound/motion detected), and when my phone is on standby it works just like an audio monitor, however the actual camera takes forever to connect and open. It's not the most reliable option available.

We needed something similar as our house also has thick walls. I got the Philips Avent SCD 510 audio monitor from Mothercare and it has been brilliant. It has a long range and works everywhere, even in the garden!
