I highly recommend Evelyn in the salon in the Carlton Hotel in Deira. She is excellent at colour and cutting and is very reasonably priced. They have valet parking too, which is great. 04 2285154 - you need an appointment to get her.

I have to recommend my hairstylist Ron Bajacan (search him on FB). He is former head of Frank Provost and has 15+ years of salon experience. He's really good. He does private home service too but I hope it's not an issue if he is a man. Actually he's gay and very respectful of clients. My friends loved him. His price is very reasonable.

Hi there, I can highly recommend a lady called Elvira for a precision hair cut, she is one of the best hairdressers I've had here. My hair is fine and she instinctively knows how to cut/handle it, although I nearly fainted when she used the razor on it for the first time. But I was delighted with the end result. I think I pay AED150 for a cut and blow dry, plus I give a Du card to Elvira and the 2 manicurists working in the shop as well. I take a picture of the style I would like to have and Elvira will give her opinion if it will suit me or my type of hair. She is engaged and involved with her clients. Over the years I have visited most of the high end hairdressers and frankly, I was not over the moon by their standards of hairdressing and I do object to supporting workers in plush, extravagant surrounds. I'll pay for expertise, but that's about it. The salon is clean and neat and called Lolita, Ladies Beauty Salon, shop No M12A and it's in Hamarain Centre, Deira.
