Got White Cheese instead of Feta !

So i picked up the Puck white cheese pack instead of feta as they are so similar... i have never tried white cheese... is it similar ... can it be used for salads like feta... what else can it be used for... TIA

the white cheese is much softer than proper feta which is crumbly and more tangy. it is an ok substitute though. mrs b, do you deep fry the samosas? or can you do them in the oven? I usually just shallow fry them quickly in a small amount of oil until golden and then drain on kitchen paper.

Yes ... its more a less like feta but I like feta better... maybe you can salt your salad a bit more and it would work just as well... !

I have used it in salads and it has been fine, it is similar to feta in texture, little milder and slightly less salty, try it you may enjoy :-)

Get some samosa pastry sheets and make cheese samosas - they are a favourite in my home - they are quick and easy to make - all you need is the white cheese and pastry.
