Urgent foster home needed for a cute kitty
Speckle, a beautiful natured, sweet tortishell British shorthair cross, approximately a year old. She has had an awful run of luck recently, had 4 kittens about 2 months ago - sadly non of them made it, with her losing her last baby yesterday evening.
Speckle is currently lodging at British Vets but can only stay until this evening. Yesterday she tested positive for feline infectious anemea - sounds scary but basically this is an organism that affects her red blood cells - it would appear that she has had a serious attack of this in the past but is currenlty asymptomatic - so is not needing any treatment.
Unfortunatley this is not somehting that will ever be cured and she must be in a single cat household as this can be passed on to other cats via bites or scratches (but no risk to humans)
She has been spayed and had her first vacinations....
