Hello ladies,
My husband and I are planning to move to Abu Dhabi from Arizona, USA end of August. One of the most important deciding factor of our move will be knowledge regarding availability of services for our 15 year old son with autism. I have been searching online and see a good amount of schools and centers but I don’t know how much to rely on that virtual information. I would really appreciate if someone who has a child/adolescent with autism or works with this population can share experience with me.
I am a speech pathologist myself and have worked with my son in collaboration with teachers and therapist for the past 11 years, ran in home program for him for first five years of his diagnosis and am trained in basic autism-related basic interventions. If I can find a decent platform to start with, I would be able to monitor his progress and program. I am particularly looking for sensory integration and vocational training/transitioning. Any information will be helpful.
