Arabian Ranches has several Ladies groups from absolute beginners upwards. They are in 6 week blocks, daytime and evening. It's very sociable and a good way to learn and meet others. And not hideously expensive! All equipment is provided, clubs, balls etc, There is no need to buy golf shoes, trainers are fine to begin with. edited by Zazzle on 25/02/2015 edited by Zazzle on 25/02/2015

Hi M, Emirates Golf club is on the higher end for non-member individual lessons. They do have a group ladies program for which the the term starts in April, here is the info [url=http://issuu.com/dubaigolf/docs/i-8098__egc_academy_____brochure_20?e=4318873/9494151'>link[/url'> The Dubai Creek location has a program called "Learn to Golf in a week" that costs 600 dhs, and runs Sun-Wed from 7:30 pm onward. I hadn't called about it, so I can't say if it runs every week or whatnot. info here [url=http://www.dubaigolf.com/emirates-golf-club/play/golf-academy/group-programmes.aspx'>link[/url'> Jebel Ali also seemed to have reasonable rates for non members. [url=http://www.jaresortshotels.com/Properties/JAGR/Golf/Overview/GolfAcademy.aspx'>link[/url'> Arabian Ranches has a good offer for group lessons if you can muster up 2-5 more people; they run 150 dhs a session for 3 or more people. info here [url=http://www.arabianranchesgolfdubai.com/academy/membership.aspx'>link[/url'> You could also consider Saadiyat Beach in Abu Dhabi which is probably the best deal if you want to do ladies group coaching, best rates with longest sessions. Info here [url=http://www.sbgolfclub.ae/en/golf-academy/ladies-group-coaching-2014.html'>link[/url'> Most if not all of these provide clubs. You will need to have golf shoes, and appropriate attire though. The clubs list their dress codes on their sites. If you need some clothing, any Sun and Sand location or Golf House (MOE, Sheikh Zayed road, and I think one other) will have what you need. I like the selection at the Sun and Sand in Ibn Battuta Mall--they have a Nike Golf section. Sun and Sand also has an outlet in Al Quoz. HTH, did a little research myself recently :) If money is not an object, my thoughts are that even a 30 minute individual session would be of more value than a group session because it is all about you. However, whether you go for group or individual, it is all about practice, practice, practice. Check the day pass rates at the different clubs as well, as this is how you will improve. The day passes for non members range from 150 dhs on up. When I was buying some gear last month, the sales associate recommended Bryan Smith at Arabian Ranches but there are a lot of quality professionals around. edited by Beebers on 25/02/2015

I believe Emirates Golf Club has reasonable prices for beginners. You may want to ring them and inquire. I don't play but my brother is so I can't help and recommend any gear.
