Hi all, we've been here a little over 6 months now and my kids (Year 3 and Year 6) are struggling with their Arabic language classes in school. My children have been launched into Year 3 and 6 level but they don't even know the basics. I got really concerned a few days ago when I realized that neither of them can even count to 10 yet... and they are both very stressed out about assessments.
I'm going to speak to their teacher this afternoon but wondering if anyone can advise - how are kids that have just arrived expected to get "up to speed"? Do parents send them for extra lessons? I assume many moms on this forum have had the same experience so any advice would be welcome :)
