Driving whilst inbetween sponsor visa

Would anyone know if it is still legal for me to drive my car on my UAE licence whilst I am in between visa applications? Having left one job for another, I am just waiting for my new sponsor visa to be processed. I know I still have 30 days grace for my new visa, but still have a house, car and licence? Seems a bit of a grey area to me? If I were to leave Dubai for good, who takes your licence off you anyway?

Thanks

Great question, as I am in exactly the same situation and asked myself this yesterday! Would my insurance be valid without a valid visa ??! All I do know is you're not allowed to drive on a british licence once you've got a visa

Sorry can't help with the driving while in between visas, but I would think that it's perfectly ok to do so. I was told that if we leave Dubai we have 30 days grace in our next country to apply for a licence.
