For an outdoor table that seats six, no umbrella included? Please let me know what you paid for your outdoor furniture (and where) I don't know anything about the market here.

Maybe this was their opening point for negotiations? If not it's way too much.

We bought a table with eight chairs from Home Centre over two years ago for around 1200 AED. The cushion covers are machine washable. They seem to have some sale going on at the moment.

The only thing I had to do was cover the cushions as they were a beige colour and got dirty I had them covered with waterproof fabric which only cost me 600 so 1800 in total I would shop around and ask for a discount with cash :-)

Here's a link to the stuff we bought and it's weathered well. All we do is take the cushions off and bring the umbrella in during the summer. http://www.lgoutdoor.co.uk/furniture-sets/16/gold-coast PS the cushion covers are removable and washable :) edited by Geordie expat on 02/03/2015

Yes, is far too much. I bought ours from Ace Hardware. It was half that price, 6 seater with umbrella and has been going strong and well used for 4 years now. It lives outside all the time.

Thanks for the replies ladies. I dont mind paying for quality, in fact that is a big concern is buying something that will be worn and torn in a year's time. But 3500 to start for a basic table, I thought was much.

We didn't pay more than 2,000 for our six seater with glass top table, cushions and umbrella from ACE

I have a 3 seater, 2 seater with glass table, cushions included , bought it from ACE in the sale about a year ago and mine was 1200 That seems very pricey

Check out ACE, they often carry the exact same stock.
