In Bur Dubai, you will find a few furniture shops that sell the "copy" furniture coming from China. It is high quality solid carved wood and usually very beautiful. You can usually find mantle pieces there as well. They can also order anything you wish (just show a photo) to be carved and sent. Alternatively, you can also get wonderful pieces carved from solid wood in Chiniot in Pakistan and also shipped here - this too can be done to your specifications - design, wood, size etc. I have had furniture made in Chiniot and have been extremely happy with the results. <em>edited by mrsb. on 04/03/2015</em>

TIA I have never seen any around in the shops in Dubai at all but there is an easy and inexpensive way to make a modern styled one from three items you will find in Ikea.
