Ladies,

Has anyone sold their own house without using an agent?? If so, could you let me have some feedback on how easy/difficult/frustrating the process was?

TIA

If the buyer is paying cash and there is no mortgage - perhaps the buyer would want to use a solicitor. If selling to a cash buyer would both parties go to the Land Dept or somewhere like that? I used a solicitor when I bought an Emaar resale - the sale took place at the Emaar office. The solicitor's fees were very high but it gave me assurance. But if I sell would try to avoid solicitor's fees.

We bought our house 5 years ago. I don't recall any solicitors being involved at all. It was done between the real estate agents and the banks.

Could one also do it without a solicitor - their fees are quite high?

Crikey, I'm just curious, why do you want to sell without an agent? My understanding of the process here is that the buyer pays the majority of the fees, so what would you gain by doing it all yourself?
