Tenancy vacating letter advice
Just seeking some clarification about being served a vacating letter by a landlord.
My tenancy contract is July 12th 2014-July to July 11th 2015.
My landlord sold my apartment during my tenancy. He served me a vacating letter notifying me of the necessity of vacating my apartment atfter the end of twelve months from the date of receipt of the registered letter (9/9/2014). As there was going to be a new landlord I assumed this letter was part of the process and I signed it.
My new landlord now wants to sell on too and is asking me to be out of the premises by the end of my contract (July 11th 2015). However, I am aware that legally I have up until 9/9/2015 as per the vacating letter. But my question is should the new landlord have served me a vacating letter in addition to the previous owner or does the old vacating remain valid?
Any advice much appreciated.
