We sponsored our nanny on my husband's Abu Dhabi when living in Dubai :) Hi Gingercat - so how did you organise medical cover for your maid? Does it mean she is only covered for Abu Dhabi hospitals/doctors? We are hiring a maid and husbands visa is Abu Dhabi but not sure how to get medical cover for Dubai (standard government medical cover)? Thanks!

It doesn't matter where you live. It'll only cost you extra time as she will probably have to have her medical done in AD.

Hello Ladies! I am new to expatwoman.com and I need some help. My husband is a British national on an Abu Dhabi visa but we are living in Dubai. I am an Indian on a Dubai visa (sponsored by my company). We are looking to hire an Indian househelp directly from India. My husband will be the sponsor. 1. Does anyone know if this is possible given that he has an Abu Dhabi visa but living in Dubai? 2. As the househelp is from India is it still necessary for me to have an affidavit signed stating that I am not related to the househelp even if I am not the sponsor? Any help/info would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!
